John Marsala / Creative Director
John began his career at Walt Disney Imagineering as a Concept Architect and was a contributing designer of several parks with built works in Disney’s California Adventure (DCA) and Disney MGM Studios, Paris. Designing theme parks first opened the door for John to begin to blend his design abilities with his imaginative story sense. As one of the lead concept designers for ‘Condor Flats’, a themed-district within DCA that celebrates California’s rich aviation history, John’s vision helped to shape a variety of restaurant, retail and entertainment venues that continue to attract over six million guests each year. John’s passion for storytelling eventually led him to London, where he received a post-graduate degree in filmmaking from the London International Film School. In 2004, John returned to New York and established himself as an independent designer and art director under the banner of Modern Anthology. John has collaborated on notable projects for MTV, History Channel, Time Warner, Hikiru Utada, Comedy Central, Naomi Judd, HGTV, DIY Network, Nickelodeon, The Elton John Foundation, and the Seminal Hard Rock Hotel before opening a retail component to the MA studio in 2010.
